Counseling Fees
First-time clients receive an optional and complimentary 20-30 minute phone consultation. This is helpful to gather basic information regarding what brings you to therapy, what you are looking for in a therapist, and how I can be of help to you. At that time, you can determine if I would be a good fit. Just like finding the right shoe, you want what feels comfortable and right for you! If it is a good fit, then we will schedule your initial intake session.
The intake session will last for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (if you did not receive the complimentary consultation) and the fee is $150. All sessions thereafter can last between 45-55 minutes with a fee of $120.
Insurance
I am a preferred provider for:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO
- Blue Choice PPO
- Cigna
- ComPsych
- Magellan Behavioral Health
After a session, I will bill your insurance for their portion of the bill. You will be responsible for paying your deductible and/or co-payment at each session by cash, personal check or credit card. You may or may not have an annual limit on the number of psychotherapy sessions. Note that if you have Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO, I am considered out-of-network, and it is unlikely that they will pay any of your mental health fee.
All other insurance carriers I am considered an out-of-network provider. As an out-of-network provider, this means that you are responsible for paying in full at the time of each service. I will provide you with documentation at the end of the month for you to submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement. Your insurance company may reimburse you a percentage of the cost agreed to per your benefits plan. Please be sure to check your coverage directly with your health insurance provider prior to our initial intake session. Reduced Fee
Reduced fee services are available on a limited and as needed basis. You may inquire about the qualifications for a reduced fee.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service and can be paid by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover).
Cancellation & No Show Policy
If a session is canceled with less than 24 hour notice, a fee of $80 will be charged.
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment and you fail to give a 24 hour cancellation notice, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Therefore, a fee of $120 will be charged.
This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.
**Please note that benefits are an agreement between you and your insurance company. I cannot guarantee any insurance coverage or reimbursement. If you have eligibility concerns or questions, you should contact your insurance provider directly.
